Sarah & Morgan – South Shore Wedding Photography

Sarah and Morgan became landowners and newlyweds within about a week, so they were able to hold their wedding on their very own land near Petite Riviere on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.  I’ve been to this area a couple of times now, and every time I go, I am amazed at how beautiful it is.  All the guests hiked down through the forest to the river, for a riverside ceremony in a gorgeous woodland setting.  Then we were off to the Boardwalk at Risser’s Beach for a few more photos.  Really, the South Shore is like a photographer’s paradise!  Thank you for having me, you two, it was such an honour to be a part of this intimate and meaningful day!  Enjoy your sneak peek:)

Sarah and Morgan, congratulations! The pictures are wonderful! What a “magical” place for a wedding. I wish you all the best!

P.S. We miss you both in Faro, Yukon. The green house you built for me is still standing and producing some great vegetables! Are you interested in coming back to build on an extension?

Dear Sarah,
I just found again the link to your wedding photos and am moved by the beauty and loving spirit that is imbued in them. What a marvelous place you have found to create your home and to steward the land.

Missing you here in Nova Scotia!
Penny

Sarah,
Your wedding pics are so beautiful!! What a magical day you had – I almost expected a few fairies to pop up in the pictures. You look to have found beautiful land and a loving partnership. I look forward to having you back in NS when you return to build:) All the best on your current adventures. Take care!

The Bobbitts – Annapolis Valley Family Photography

I spent a super fun afternoon hanging out in the woods of Kentville with the Bobbitt family this past Thanksgiving weekend.  I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this much at a photo shoot before.  Luckily for me, they kept each other laughing, too!  Here’s a little Sneak Peek for you guys…

The McMahon Family – Annapolis Valley Family Photography

What a delightful way to start the day – meeting the McMahon family at the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens for some family photos.  They were visiting Nova Scotia from Calgary – enjoying some of our tropical Nova Scotian weather 😉  So we toured the gardens, ate some peas, found the birds, and took some photos.  Here’s a little Sneak Peek:

Baby Isla – Yarmouth Newborn Photography

What a pleasure it was to visit Pubnico, and to meet this lovely family!  I always love getting to discover a new part of this province (new to me, anyway!) and, of course, getting to photograph a family that is so clearly full of love for each other is pure pleasure.  Isla is one lucky newborn!

Carly & Blair – the Digby Pines Wedding

Despite some serious threats of rain, Carly and Blair ended up having a perfectly beautiful day – not even the sun could resist shining on these two.  The Digby Pines were a beautiful backdrop to this sweet and intimate ceremony, and Kate and I enjoyed ourselves immensely, traipsing about from forest, to wharf, to lighthouse, and back.  Not to mention one of the funnest night shot sessions ever, where Kate literally ran her shoes right off to get the shot.  We wish you all the best, you two, and know that the sun will continue to shine on all your future endeavours.  Enjoy your Sneak Peek!
