Josh & Sherry drove out of rain and grey skies in Halifax to meet me at the gorgeous Kentville Research Station for their maternity photos, where it was beautiful and sunny – good thing we chose the location that we did! I spent a delightful evening with these two and baby-to-be on their beautiful property just outside of Coldbrook. Two super sweet people, three well-behaved dogs, and acres of dappled sunlight = tons of fun. Plus, we just KNEW those bugs were going to look sparkly and pretty in the photos!
Lesley and Ryan had a stunning wedding this summer at White Point Beach Resort on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. I think these guys must love the beach as much as I do, since we went to Mavillette Beach for their engagement photos last year – so I got to visit TWO of the Province’s nicest beaches with them. That alone would have made me a very happy photographer, but they didn’t stop there. Not only are they both gorgeous, and had thought of every detail, but they really allowed themselves to be in the moment of their day. Happy, tearful smiles were everywhere (including, maybe, behind the camera!) I hope you enjoy this little peek into their day!
It was a beautiful day in Annapolis Royal when Leah and Dailis got married. Between the halls of Hillsdale House, the gorgeous grounds of the Annapolis Royal Historical Gardens, stunning bouquets from Lorraine Beswick, and the gorgeous couple themselves, plus all the love they evidently have for each other, it was a true feast for the senses. I got invited to spend another delightful afternoon with the DeZeeuw family on the occasion of Ad’s 80th birthday. You may remember them from the photo shoot we did last year. As before, they were an absolute delight. We spent the afternoon doing some family pictures, and then re-creating some of their childhood photos, and finally ending with some fun props and more informal pictures – as you can imagine, there was a lot of laughter going on.
