Summer Shot List – Eating Popsicles

As soon as I saw “Eating Popsicles” on the list, I had this shot in mind.  Jai and Griffin saying “Cheers!” with their popsicles, or, as we like to call it, “Propsicles!”  I love the “old-timey” feel of it, and I love the little hints it gives of Griffin, as he is right now – […]

The Irving Centre Family Photo Shoot – Wolfville, NS

Jai and I will have been married for six years this September.  Bob and Judy have been married for over forty!  Their son and daughter and respective families were finally getting together, all in the same province at the same time, and they wanted to celebrate with pictures.  Of course I said, “Sure!”  Thirty-four years […]

Families in the Park (First Annual)

I’ve been thinking about this for a while.  I wanted to offer some way for families who couldn’t necessarily afford a full session to still get some family photos taken.  It’s really important to me that every family that wants one can have a professional family portrait taken.  But I know it’s hard.  It’s one […]

Hi Ana,
That’s great! Yes, it is in Bridgetown – just above it, on the North Mountain. As you come into town, turn right on South St, and follow it up to the top of the mountain, where you will see the entrance to Valley View. Can you get in touch with me through the contact link at the top of the page? I can’t get your e-mail from the comments. Thanks!

Baby Lewis – Hampton Mountain, NS

I have a confession to make: when Jai and I, sitting in our basement apartment in Victoria, BC, dreamt of our Big Move to Nova Scotia, we often pictured ourselves with our very own homestead.  There would be chickens, and sheep, a couple of ducks, and definitely some bees.  We practically had a subscription to […]

God, these are absolutely incredible! I love the imperfections you captured… you know, like the half-smiles and muddy shirts. Makes me want to draw interpretations of your photos, which is rare for me. 🙂

ADORABLE! I love the vintage feel to this shoot– not vintage like yellow skies, but vintage like old quilts and sinks and timeless baby toes and little children.
