The Wedding Show at Milford House

I recently spent a Saturday afternoon at the lovely Milford House with several other local vendors, meeting each other and some brides-to-be.  It was a lovely afternoon – the rain kept threatening but never actually materialized, and the sun broke through later in the day.  I brought my camera along, and snapped a couple of pictures, for those who couldn’t make it in person.

This is my table:

I had a couple of helpers (Jai and the kids came up to enjoy the day with me):

And some of the other booths (although I only caught a handful of them).

I couldn’t stop taking pictures of Lorraine Beswick‘s booth – she grew all of these flowers! In May!

And this is Lorraine and the woman from the Highland Lace Company (yes, I’m terrible with names!) hanging some of her beautiful curtains and banners:

Here’s the Paradise Papercraft table – all cut by hand:

Maritime Travel was there (with chocolates!):And wonderful music by Swingology all afternoon:

And Chantelle was there with her yummy jams and sauces (I saw several people walking around with jars of lemon curd – Yum!)

And, all the way from Halifax, Claudia Habib, from Simply Weddings:The Milford House is such a beautiful setting for a wedding, and they were very accommodating, with free gingerbread and lemonade for all.  They even gave Griffin a free fresh-squeezed orange juice!

And we took the chance to tour through one of the cabins on the lake, while we were there.  Isn’t this just the sweetest thing?  It looks like a wonderful place to spend a week (or two!)

Thanks to everyone who was there – it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon!  And if you’re thinking about a 2013-4 wedding in the Annapolis Valley, I hope to see you there next year!

Also, I’m finally on Facebook!  I added a button at the top of the page, if you’d like to stop in and say “hi!”
